What will you learn?
Week 1 - Believe in yourself
Confidence starts with knowing that you are good enough. But that’s hard to believe when the negative chatter in your head tells you otherwise. This week is about turning down the volume on your Inner Critic, getting in touch with the wise, calm part of you and recognising what you uniquely bring to your role.
Week 2 - Mastering your mindset
We’ll be exploring the thinking patterns that could be holding you back, tackling perfectionism and overworking and helping you to develop a growth mindset so that you no longer fear failure and can be kinder to yourself.
Week 3 - The courage to have challenging conversations
First we’ll explore what we find hard about certain conversations then I’ll share my best coaching techniques for building up the courage to tackle issues head on. I’ll be sharing the communication tools you can use to deliver feedback, set boundaries and say no without creating conflict.
Week 4 - Speaking up
You’ll be joining meetings feeling confident after this session. You’ll learn how to start and end your contribution powerfully, how to respond when you are put on the spot and how to focus on the meeting rather than your worries and self-doubt. We’ll also be looking at how you can use your voice and body language to have more presence in meetings and be taken seriously.

How is it delivered?
Each session is delivered as a 2 hour online workshop which will be recorded. Dates are:
10am - 12pm Wednesday 23 February
10am - 12pm Wednesday 2 March
10am - 12pm Wednesday 9 March
10am - 12pm Wednesday 16 March
You’ll also be allocated to a small pod so that you can get to know other women and build your network. This group work is often people’s favourite part of my programmes as you realise you are not the only person experiencing these challenges.
We will be using Circle to create a community around the course. You’ll be able to ask me questions during the course and also have confidential chats with your pod in a sub group.

About your coach
Carla Miller is a leadership coach who works with women in management and leaderships roles to develop their careers and their confidence. Hundreds of female leaders have taken part in her Influence & Impact programme from companies including GSK, BT, Channel 4, Muller and Deloitte, as well as national charities, the NHS and the Civil Service.
Carla’s own leadership experience includes raising £20 million for good causes andleading the fundraising at Samaritans and many other national charities; she was CEO of Tiny Tickers and then Managing Director of Charity People, a leading charity recruitment consultancy alongside founding her own coaching business.
Her work is inspired by the challenges she had to overcome to succeed and she is on a mission to empower 10,000 women in their careers. She has featured in national media such The Guardian and Psychologies magazine and regularly chairs conference panels on leadership. She hosts a chart-topping podcast - Influence & Impact for female leaders - and is the author of The Influence Gap: A handbook for women leaders which will be published in September 2022.
